After
looking into the horizon for the sun to come up and not
finding the images expected, as we turned around to head
back we saw these magnificent Mittens and Merrick Buttes
beginning to be lit by the very low angle sun. The earth
turns from pitch black into red, at a considerate slow
pace
to allow us to set up gear.
